We might as well be Weird Al

We haven't done one of these for a while. It's a Spoof and Speck song! If you recall, we wanted to write a song about Beuller using the phrase "I've got the really bad sicks."

Repeat after me: A clown will not bite me and throw me in the basement

This may be one of the more terrifying paintings we've featured here. When we plotted this particular painting out it seemed like a good idea. It wasn't until the paint started to dry that we realized just how frightening it was.

Time for a muffin song

We were talking today about our coworkers and, as occasionally happens, we randomly created a song. Or perhaps more accurately, several starts to a song. 

Was that confusing? Let us explain. You're probably all familiar with this song:

Yeah. We think it's annoying too. The thing is, it works when you change the lyrics. Imagine it this way.

That ain't Kermit

Today's paining leads us to a number of questions. Where did such a big frog come from? How has that guy not noticed it? And most importantly, is the frog going to eat the guy or is the guy leading the frog by it's tongue? We leave it up to you to decide.

Ambush feast

This is a new repaint for us. Usually we work with images from magazines. This one is actually a print of an existing painting, The Windmill at Wijk bij Duurstede painted in 1670 by Jacob van Ruisdael. We're quite fond of the cyclops. He looks like he wants to crack open that windmill like a lobster and slurp up the creamy insides. Or maybe he's trying to hide behind it so he can get access to the ships in the harbor. Either way, he's eating well tonight.

We can't tell if it's funny or scary

Today's painting is another altered magazine page. We painted this and even we are a little creeped out by the giant rabbit head.

Though admittedly, we'd like to take instruction from the lizard-alien thing.

Yes, it's that time again. Time for Spoof and Speck to share another fantastic painting with you. This is one of the earliest Spoof and Speck paintings, back when we painted under a single name. You'll notice the signature in the lower right-hand corner.

Today, we draw portraits

This little sketch is how we view our boss, the Hutt. We are told the facial expression is spot on for the Hutt's everyday look. We tried to draw the death stare but even as a doodle it was too powerful.
